Hawks Keep Rolling;
Shooter's downs Knockouts
The Hawks continue their playoff cinderella run defeating Penn HIlls 6-4, while Shooter's Bar & Grill downed the Elmsdale Dental Knockouts 6-2.
In the first game of the night, Chris Thorne and Jeff Turner each potted a pair a goals to lead Shooter's to their first win in the playoffs. John Kozier and Nick Frail rounded out the scoring. Liam Murphy notched both goals for the Knockouts, who now fall to 0-4.
The nights second game saw the Hawks continue to roll as Jerry Augustine fired a hat trick, while Robert Syliboy and playoff scoring leader, Scotty Sack, each had a goal and three assists to keep the Hawks a perfect 4-0 in the playoffs after going 5-11-2 in the regular season.
Tyler LeBlanc fired home his 3rd goal of the playoffs to round out the scoring for the Hawks.
Luke Anthony, Jay Duffy, Andrew MacPherson and Shane Nolan did the damage for Penn Hills, who suffered their first loss of the playoffs.
Action resumes this Sunday night at the Sportsplex as Tim Isenor Royal Lepage takes on Shooter's Bar & Grill at 9pm, while the Hawks look to stay perfect as they face the Ryson Rockets at 10pm.
